Planning Commission Tables Data Center Zoning Proposal

The Scott County Planning Commission, with six of its seven members present, voted on Monday, September 14, to table a proposed zoning amendment. This amendment, if passed, would have allowed data centers to be developed within the county. The decision to table the proposal came after an extensive public opposition period, lasting nearly two hours, during which local residents voiced their concerns. The meeting took place in the second-floor boardroom at the Scott County Community Services Building.
