Democrat David Dillie, who flipped Georgia House District 161, told WJCL that residents are upset about a proposed OpenAI data center in his district. He said opposition to the project helped drive the election result and that he intends to continue fighting it at the Georgia Capitol.

Dillie said he will seek a statewide moratorium on data center development and the removal of state tax incentives for the facilities. He acknowledged that advancing those proposals could be difficult in the Republican-controlled Senate and said he would seek bipartisan support.
