Birmingham residents seeking to stop the proposed Nebius data center have filed a lawsuit connected to the project. Kendra Woodfin, wife of Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin and founder of Iron City Premier Realty, was named in a proposed subpoena for records, although she said her company was not involved in the property deal.

A judge is scheduled to hear objections to the subpoenas. The data center dispute was included in Birmingham Watch’s roundup of regional stories, alongside coverage of short-term rental regulations, Alabama politics and environmental issues.
