Google detailed plans for a new, 550-acre data canter campus in Morgan County.
In an announcement Wednesday, Dec. 10., Google said the new data center will serve as the "physical infrastructure for the digital services people and businesses use everyday like Gemini, Google Cloud, Workspace (i.e. Gmail, Docs, Sheets), Search and Maps."
The Morgan County campus will deliver Google technologies to users and customers, officials said, like the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Google said it will pay for all of the electricity its data center uses, as well as any other costs associated with its development.
