COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A special appeal hearing for the proposed Project Taurus data center is scheduled for Thursday at the Ent Center for the Arts, following months of public debate.
Residents have expressed concerns regarding the data center's potential impact on electricity, water, and noise levels since the project was first announced in April. These issues have been addressed by the project's Chief Operating Officer at previous public meetings. The hearing provides an opportunity for those who filed an appeal and the general public to directly present their concerns to the planning commission.
Doors for the hearing opened at 8:00 a.m., with proceedings beginning at 9:00 a.m. Public comments are not expected to commence until approximately 1:00 p.m., requiring in-person registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
