Protesters disrupted Mayor Craig Greenberg's weekly news conference in Louisville, Kentucky, to express their opposition to a planned hyperscale data center in the city's West End. The demonstrators carried a red banner stating, "Stop Steve Poe's data center," and called on the mayor to take a definitive stance on the issue.

The proposed 1.6 million square foot data center, described as being the size of 16 Walmarts, is intended for Campground Road near the Rubbertown industrial area. Although the Louisville Planning Commission announced newly drafted regulations in June that would ban hyperscale data centers in the metro area, this specific project had already received approval before the proposed ban was introduced.
