Project Mustang, a data center development by Beale Infrastructure, has been approved for the Claremore Industrial Park in Claremore, Oklahoma. While the Claremore City Council granted approval in May, construction on the facility has not yet begun. Beale Infrastructure anticipates Phase 1 of construction to start in Fall 2026 and conclude by Fall 2028.
Plans for the project include multiple data center buildings and office space. Power will be supplied by the Grand River Dam Authority, with water and wastewater services provided by the City of Claremore. City Manager John Feary stated that the property is already zoned for industrial use and that the developer will cover required infrastructure upgrades.
The 25-year agreement, finalized on August 28, includes over $180.5 million in anticipated PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) payments and community funding. Additionally, Beale Infrastructure has pledged $5 million to a Community Betterment Fund for Claremore. The project is also projected to generate more than $400 million in electric revenue and sales tax for the city over 30 years. The exact end-user or operating company for the data center remains undisclosed.
