Gina Hinojosa, Gov. Greg Abbott on data centers in Texas governor race

Texas Democratic governor candidate Gina Hinojosa has criticized Gov. Greg Abbott's data center policies, calling them a drain on state resources and alleging tax giveaways. In response to these jabs and public concerns, Governor Abbott has directed state utility commissions to take steps to protect residential ratepayers and plans to work with lawmakers on new legislation to regulate data centers' water and electricity usage, as well as community impacts.
