Copper wire stolen from construction site of Loudoun County data center; 3 arrested
Three men were arrested and charged with grand larceny after stealing copper wire from a data center construction site in Sterling, Virginia. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident, leading to the apprehension of the suspects and recovery of the stolen wire.
Three men, Jhamal Micah Kalil Muskelly, 21, of Alexandria; Demetrius Shaun Charlton, 23, of Falls Church; and Cordell Lamar Carter, 18, of Washington, D.C., were arrested early Monday morning in Sterling, Virginia. They face grand larceny charges after allegedly stealing copper wire from a data center construction site located near the 45000 block of Maries Road. Deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the site just before 12:30 a.m.
Investigators reportedly spotted a U-Haul vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, during which the stolen copper wire was located. Muskelly and Charlton are being held without bond, while Carter was held on a $4,500 unsecured bond.
