
Monterey Park Town Hall: Artificial Intelligence and Community Impact
A town hall in Monterey Park will examine artificial intelligence, data-center growth and their effects on the environment, workforce and local communities. State Sen. Sasha Renée Pérez and academic and labor representatives will participate in the discussion.
A Monterey Park town hall will focus on the rapidly changing artificial intelligence landscape and its broader effects on daily life and communities. The discussion will include environmental concerns related to data-center growth, workforce changes and other policy issues connected to AI.
Panelists include California State Sen. Sasha Renée Pérez, who represents the 25th District, USC professor Charles Zukoski and Ivan Fernández of the California Federation of Labor Unions, AFL-CIO. Staff from the state Senate district office will also provide legislative materials, with attendees welcome to RSVP or walk in.
