Volition, a Provo-based company, has decided to move its proposed data center project in Spanish Fork, Utah, to a new industrial park location. This decision comes after significant pushback from neighbors concerned about the original site at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon. The company aims to alleviate community anxiety by relocating to an industrial zone.
A proposed data center development by Provo-based company Volition is relocating its site in Spanish Fork, Utah, following community pushback. The company initially planned to construct the data center at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon.
After engaging with concerned residents, Volition decided to move the project to an industrial park located west of I-15. Volition CEO Jeff Chavez stated that this move to an industrial zone is intended to alleviate anxiety for both current and future residents regarding the data center's presence. The project will now proceed within a newly constructed industrial park.
