The Dubois County Democratic Party is launching a "Big Tent" town hall series, with the first event scheduled for July 22 in St. Anthony, Indiana. This community gathering, titled "Your Community, Your Say," aims to foster a two-way conversation between residents and a non-partisan panel on local issues impacting southern Indiana.

The moderated panel will discuss critical topics such as property rights, water and land rights, solar development, battery energy storage, data centers, property taxes, zoning, and local growth. Organizers emphasize that the panel members, including farmers, landowners, business owners, and issue experts, may hold varied political backgrounds and not always agree, promoting an honest public dialogue.

Dennis Tedrow, chair of the Dubois County Democratic Party, stated that the event is designed for neighbors to collaboratively address decisions concerning their land, water, taxes, and communities. The Property Rights Alliance, along with experts on data center and battery energy storage development, will participate. Brad Hochgesang, a candidate for Indiana State Senate District 48, is also expected to attend, inviting all residents regardless of political affiliation to make their voices heard.
