We often hear that with the inevitability of AI expansion, opting into data centers is necessary to keep our region competitive and growing. Many residents wonder though if it truly is necessary, and wonder what would happen if Northeast Ohio invests in industries other than ones relying on data centers. Baiju Shah, President and CEO of Greater Cleveland Partnership, explains that opting into data centers allows residents to have a say in how the technology grows and ultimately affects us.
