A.I. experts descend on Las Vegas
AI and data center experts gathered in Las Vegas for the Yotta 2026 convention to discuss industry growth challenges and solutions. A key focus was on cooling systems, particularly water-based closed-loop systems, which present energy consumption challenges.
The Yotta 2026 convention, attended by over 6,000 people including numerous CEOs, brought AI and data center experts to Las Vegas to address the industry's rapid growth and the associated challenges. Among the solutions discussed were innovations in cooling systems for data centers and semiconductor factories.
Felix Wang, representing Gradient, a company specializing in water system solutions, highlighted the increasing adoption of closed-loop water systems for data centers, a technology already familiar in Southern Nevada. However, Wang pointed out that while effective for cooling, these closed-loop liquid systems require more energy due to the thermal differences that need to be managed.
