The city of Indianapolis launched a Zoning Case Viewer to give residents clearer, up-to-date information about zoning petitions and development proposals, including proposed data centers. The tool allows users to search by case number, address or general area and review details about rezoning, variance cases and upcoming hearings.

Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development officials Logan Lane and Trena Roudebush said the viewer was created to improve transparency and help residents understand changes occurring in their neighborhoods. Residents interviewed by WISH-TV said having access to the information would help them stay informed about nearby development activity.
