Stafford advances water use change for data center site

The Stafford County Planning Commission has recommended approval for proffer changes concerning water use at the Potomac Church Tech Center. Developer Amazon is seeking these temporary water use modifications for the site, which currently has one of its two planned data centers operational. The commission's recommendation came after careful consideration of the proposal and new information, allowing the project to advance. The Potomac Church Tech Center is set to encompass two data centers totaling 510,000 square feet across 49.9 acres once fully operational.
