Elizabethtown Residents Oppose Residential Rezoning, Data Center Policy Changes

More than 90 Elizabethtown residents packed a city Planning Commission meeting, many holding "No" signs, to express strong opposition to a downtown residential rezoning proposal and a proposed text change to the city's data center policy. The significant public turnout led to the formal withdrawal of the residential rezoning proposal, and its associated public hearing was canceled. Despite the withdrawal, the commission and city staff fielded questions from the concerned public on both the rezoning and the data center policy, highlighting ongoing community concern regarding development and land use in Elizabethtown.
