Silver Fox 606 sues Indiantown over proposed data center project
Silver Fox 606 LLC sued the Village of Indiantown and other local officials, alleging they are unlawfully blocking its proposed $25 million data center project on more than 600 acres. The developer is seeking emergency injunctive relief and a ruling affirming its development rights after an administrative approval was challenged.
Silver Fox 606 LLC filed a lawsuit and petition for a writ of prohibition against the Village of Indiantown, its council, planning and appeals board, and other parties over a proposed data center project on more than 600 acres in Martin County. The developer says the property was purchased after zoning verification established that computer and data-processing facilities were permitted as-of-right in Heavy Industrial districts.
Indiantown’s Community and Economic Development Director approved the project’s plat on Sept. 17, but a local resident later filed an administrative appeal. Silver Fox claims the planning and appeals board lacks jurisdiction to review the approval and alleges the Village Council violated Florida’s Sunshine Law during personnel changes. The company is seeking a preliminary injunction preventing stop-work orders or retroactive reviews, along with a declaration confirming its vested development rights.
