The Guilford County Board of Commissioners voted to delay consideration of a proposed 180-day moratorium on data center development until its next meeting on Nov. 5, postponing the decision until after Election Day.
Residents including Susan Lindsay spoke in favor of the moratorium, while Joe Barnes argued that approving it could cause Guilford County to lose development opportunities. The vote remains pending.
