Virginia Lawmakers Approve Budget with Data Center Fee, Keep Tax Breaks

Virginia lawmakers have approved a compromise budget bill. This bill includes a new electricity consumption fee for data centers, while simultaneously maintaining an existing sales and use tax exemption for them. The measures are contingent on the governor's signature to become law.
