Montgomery County officials support data center restrictions
Montgomery County, Virginia officials, specifically the Board of Supervisors, are expressing support for implementing restrictions on potential future data center development. This comes despite data centers not currently being permitted in the county. A majority of the supervisors have indicated their desire for such limitations.
The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors in Virginia has voiced its support for potential restrictions on future data center development within the county. During a recent meeting in Christiansburg, a majority of the supervisors indicated their preference for such limitations.
This discussion comes even though data centers are not currently permitted to be built in Montgomery County. Tim Reynolds with Hurt & Proffitt was present to discuss the implications of potential data center restrictions with the board members.
