Originally permitted to generate 48 megawatts of power, the proposed expansion with the new turbines would increase the data center's capacity by more than 450 megawatts. The public hearing, preceded by an information session, took place at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium on Thursday, allowing for community input on the draft air permit.
