WYSOX TOWNSHIP — The Wysox Township Board of Supervisors, during a special meeting on Tuesday, unanimously approved a significant update to the township's zoning regulations. These amendments are specifically designed to regulate the development of data centers within Wysox's borders. Supervisor Chairman Bill Them, along with Supervisors Garrett McConnell and Kelly Gannon, and Solicitor Chris Jones, oversaw the vote. The updated zoning provisions will apply to much of the township's manufacturing district, with the exception of the area around Woodgrain, and a limited section of the commercial general district situated between Sullivan Street and the Bradford Towne Center. Consultant David Martino from Shepstone Management assisted in outlining the changes to the zoning amendment. This approval means Wysox Township now has a framework in place to manage the construction and operation of data centers, addressing potential future development in the designated areas.
