Son stated that the total investment in the data center could eventually amount to 1.5 trillion dollars over the next two decades, positioning it as potentially the largest single investment in human history. This announcement coincided with a groundbreaking ceremony in Ohio for a gas-fired power plant construction project, involving SoftBank Group and U.S. government officials.
The power plant project represents the first phase of Japan's 550-billion-dollar investment and loan pledge under a bilateral tariff agreement.
