The project represents a substantial $4 billion investment, with construction slated to commence next year and completion targeted for approximately 2030.
Local officials, including Boyd County Judge Executive Eric Chaney, expressed enthusiasm for the economic benefits, highlighting an estimated $5-6 million in annual tax revenue specifically for the Boyd County School System. This revenue is expected to stabilize the school system and enable future projects. The development is also projected to generate hundreds of construction jobs and about 300 permanent positions upon completion.
Negotiations for the data center have spanned nearly two years, involving both state and local leadership, including Governor Andy Beshear's office.
