Krambu submits application for Bonner Data Center, public comment period continues

The Idaho-based company Krambu has submitted a complete application to Missoula County, Montana, for the construction of the Bonner Data Center. The proposed facility would be located at an existing building at 9314 Bonner Mill Road in Bonner, situated near the Blackfoot River and various community establishments. Missoula County has made the application publicly available for review and comment, and a public hearing is scheduled for July 1 at 6 p.m. The county's website currently hosts over 140 public comments, with the vast majority expressing opposition to the project. Concerns raised by the public largely focus on potential negative impacts, including noise, pollution, energy consumption, and risks to the local aquifer and overall environment. One commenter, Annie B, explicitly stated, "There is no benefit for the people of Missoula County and instead it is a risk to our aquifer, general environment, and the health of all life in the area." Krambu's submitted paperwork details the projected impacts of the data center on water, energy, heat, and noise.
