Indiantown weighs another data center plan
Indiantown Village leaders are currently reviewing two data center proposals, with one involving Florida Power & Light and another, dubbed "Project Growler," from Warfield 18 LLC. Project Growler is planned for a former federal Superfund site and proposes 600,000 square feet of space across four buildings.
Florida Village leaders in Indiantown are actively reviewing two distinct data center proposals following the withdrawal of a third. One of the ongoing discussions involves Florida Power & Light, which is exploring the possibility of establishing a data center on recently annexed land within the village.
Additionally, village officials have engaged in preliminary discussions with another developer regarding a project internally referred to as "Project Growler." This proposal is linked to Warfield 18 LLC and targets a site at 18300 Southwest Warfield Boulevard, which is notably the former Florida Steel Corp site—a federal Superfund, or toxic waste cleanup, location.
According to village documents, Project Growler envisions a substantial 600,000 square feet of space distributed across four buildings. These would include two industrial structures and two administrative facilities, indicating a significant development on the environmentally sensitive site.
