The proposed project, which the Festus mayor expects to generate over $53 million annually, has faced significant backlash from local residents. A public meeting is scheduled for Monday night at the Festus High School gymnasium, starting at 6 PM, where residents will have another opportunity to voice their opinions. Previous meetings have seen strong opposition, particularly concerning the data center's planned location within a residential neighborhood. More than 30 people have signed up to provide public comment at the upcoming meeting.
