A new $430 million data center, dubbed Colovore Alliance, is slated for construction in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning in December, according to a state filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The project will feature a single-story, 156,500-square-foot building housing four data center halls.
The site, located at 14700 Heritage Parkway along Interstate 35W, is part of Hillwood’s expansive AllianceTexas development, which covers north Fort Worth and southern Denton County. The filing provides preliminary details, including an estimated two-year construction timeline, and indicates Colovore, a Santa Clara, California-based company, is also pursuing other data center projects in Texas, specifically mentioning sites in Mesquite, Hutto, and a planned future location in Johnson County.
This development follows over $1.2 billion in data center projects recently registered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The news also coincides with Governor Greg Abbott's decision to widen a statewide moratorium on data centers, instructing Texas environmental regulators to halt the issuance of new permits for such projects.
