The Piedmont Environmental Council organized a large lobby day in Richmond, Virginia where over 120 people from across the state came to urge state legislators to pass data center reform legislation. This appears to be part of an ongoing effort by the PEC and others to push for policy changes related to data centers in Virginia.

Gov: Virginia legislators
Last week, more than 120 Virginians traveled to Richmond to lobby their legislators to pass data center reform legislation. Thank you to each and every one of you who was able to attend - because of you, this was our largest lobby day ever, with people coming from all over Virginia to make their voices heard. You woke up early, rode the bus or drove (someone even took a train!), and stayed late to attend the committee meeting – and you did so because this moment is calling us to step up. Going up against the wealthiest and most powerful companies in the world requires our collective action – each and every one of us – and lobby day is our strongest moment to show the scale of the movement and articulate needed reforms to legislators. Thank you for your presence and your ongoing work to make the day so successful. Learn more at https://pecva.org/datacenters
