Leslie Nogle’s Toothacres farm in Clearcreek Township has become the site of a one-acre aerial message opposing large data centers. Kyra Roesle and other organizers are shaping letters and symbols into the field to call attention to the potential effects of data center development on Ohio farmland and rural communities.

The effort is focused on a proposed data center roughly 20 miles away in Trenton, where residents will vote during the upcoming election on whether to ban large data centers. Organizer Bethe Goldenfield said the issue has drawn concern across political divisions, while Nogle and Roesle said they want to preserve farmland and encourage discussion about possible solutions.
