Lambda data center to be located at MidAmerica Industrial Park
Lambda plans to develop a data center on a 300-acre site at MidAmerica Industrial Park near Pryor in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The project is expected to generate about $500 million in property and sales taxes over 10 years, with significant revenue going to the Chouteau school system.
Lambda co-founder Stephen Balaban said the company selected MidAmerica Industrial Park for its data center because of the industrial setting and other factors intended to support a smooth development. Construction and site development are expected to begin soon on the 300-acre property.
MidAmerica CEO David Stewart said Lambda is not receiving incentives and will pay the full ad valorem tax obligation. The project is projected to produce approximately $500 million in property and sales taxes over a decade, including substantial revenue for Chouteau Public Schools and other local funds.
