The Protect Allen County Coalition will hold a community gathering Sunday in Fort Wayne to help residents develop and communicate requests for protections related to Google’s data center, which is already under construction in Allen County. Coalition representative Kimberly Koczan said residents want to provide Google with specific concerns involving water, air, soil and human health.

The meeting will also address how the data center connects to other regional developments, including the Lulu-Sorenson transmission project and the concept of nuclear-ready communities. Organizers aim to examine the combined effects of water use, energy demand and major construction projects on the environment and local economy.
