Indiantown’s Village Council scheduled Nov. 5 and Nov. 19 meetings to consider a proposed moratorium on data center development. The proposal comes amid a lawsuit by Silver Fox 606 over a potential data center and an injunction blocking a scheduled zoning appeals hearing.

The Indiantown Village Council will hold a first hearing Nov. 5 on a proposed moratorium covering data center development, followed by a second reading Nov. 19. Council member Christa Miley supports the moratorium but wants exemptions clarified for applications submitted before Sept. 10, 2026, while ensuring those exemptions do not cover materially expanded or substantially changed projects.

The debate is unfolding alongside litigation involving Silver Fox 606, which is pursuing a potential data center in Indiantown and challenging the handling of an appeal concerning the project’s development approvals. A Martin County judge has issued an injunction against a scheduled zoning appeals hearing. Mayor Phyllis Waters-Brown urged the village attorney and attorneys for the developers to negotiate revised language, while Silver Fox 606 attorney Nicholas Geisler said the developers were willing to work toward an agreement and potential dismissal of the litigation.
