The planned development, situated near the Duane Arnold Nuclear Power Plant, would move from unincorporated Linn County into Palo city limits. Palo Mayor Bryan Busch, who has chosen not to comment further until after the meeting, conveyed in a Facebook post that he understands the community's questions and emphasized the city's commitment to being open and transparent.
