The Mayor of Clinton, Scott Maddasion, and members of the Clinton City Council are organizing a series of meetings to review and discuss a proposed data center ordinance. These discussions aim to address local concerns regarding the development of data centers within the city.

The decision to hold these broader meetings stemmed from an earlier small group discussion on August 3 at the Lyons Branch Library. This initial meeting, requested by Mayor Maddasion and facilitated by Council member Janet Turpen, brought together representatives from the 'Clintonians Against Data Centers' group with the mayor and Chief/Interim City Administrator Gyrion. The meeting was characterized as opening the door to meaningful dialogue, research, questions, and ideas about data centers.
