Geronimo Power is developing plans for a 640-acre AI data center campus in Harmony Township, North Dakota, north of Mapleton. The proposal includes two primary data center buildings and related infrastructure, while about 75% of the property would remain green space.

Geronimo President and CEO Blake Nixon said the company is addressing concerns about noise and water use, citing a proposed noise standard of 45 decibels and water consumption comparable to a car wash. Company officials held an open house at the Grand Farm Innovation Campus in Wheatland to solicit community input on landscaping, native grasslands, community gardens and other possible uses for the undeveloped acreage.
