The Lansing Economic Area Partnership, led by President and CEO Bob Trezise, plans to gather Delhi Township residents’ input on whether and how to pursue a potential data center at the 423-acre Holt Economic Opportunity Park. LEAP is working with Lighthouse Sustainability, which emphasizes environmental stewardship, energy affordability and community benefits.

The proposal is preliminary, with no named end user and no formal data center project yet planned. LEAP says the concept would avoid increases in residents’ utility costs and additional emissions through clean power and on-site batteries. The site is not currently zoned for industrial use, so a rezoning application would be required if residents support moving forward. Delhi Township’s existing moratorium on data center review is scheduled to expire in April 2027.
