Gregg Township data center hearing scheduled for July 20
The Gregg Township Board of Supervisors has rescheduled a public hearing for July 20 regarding a data center proposal from PNK Group. The company plans to retrofit an existing warehouse and build three new data centers by 2029, requiring a curative amendment to the township's zoning ordinance. Over 100 residents attended a previous meeting, many in opposition to the project.
The Gregg Township Board of Supervisors has rescheduled a public hearing concerning a proposed data center campus for 6 p.m. Monday, July 20. The hearing will take place at the Warrior Run Area Social Hall in Allenwood.
The proposal, put forth by industrial developer PNK Group, involves a curative amendment to the township's zoning ordinance. This amendment would permit the company to convert a vacant 500,000-square-foot warehouse in Great Stream Commons into a data center by fall 2027, with plans for three additional data centers to be constructed by the end of 2029.
More than 100 residents, many visibly opposed to the project by wearing red, attended a previous Board of Supervisors meeting on May 4 to voice their concerns regarding the data center development.
