Delhi Township trustees are scheduled to consider a resolution formally opposing data center development at a special meeting in Holt. The resolution would urge the Lansing Economic Area Partnership and Colorado-based Lighthouse Sustainability to stop pursuing a potential $10 billion facility on 423 acres off College Road.

Township officials said the proposal generated overwhelming negative public feedback and criticized LEAP for announcing the exploration effort without adequate consultation. Delhi Township subsequently ended its membership in the regional economic development partnership. The township already has a 12-month moratorium on data center proposals, which is set to expire in April.
