Clay County supervisors are evaluating a proposal to temporarily suspend new applications for data centers, wind energy projects, utility-scale solar farms, and battery energy storage systems. The proposed moratorium aims to provide the county with time to update its existing zoning rules.

Steve Hallgren, the county's planning and zoning consultant, presented four draft moratorium resolutions to the board during its regular meeting on August 4.
