Ferguson to vote on data center tax breaks this week

The Ferguson City Council is scheduled to reconsider a significant $1.5 billion tax incentive package this week. These tax breaks are intended to facilitate the redevelopment of the former Emerson Electric corporate campus, located off West Florissant Avenue, into a new technology hub and data center. This decision comes at the request of Ferguson's new Mayor, Adrian Shropshire, who was sworn into office recently, after the initial incentive agreement had already been negotiated.
