The proposed Warwood data center project by Silicon Foundation in Wheeling, West Virginia, is undergoing revised plans, reducing its scope from a previously discussed 100-megawatt facility to 50 megawatts. State and local officials, including Delegate Shawn Fluharty and Senator Laura Wakim-Chapman, met with Silicon Foundation representative Andrii Garanin to clarify details.

The company has also addressed environmental concerns, stating the facility will implement a closed-loop system for river water, ensuring no discharge, and that local utility rates will not be impacted. Despite these updates, Delegate Fluharty emphasized the importance of the project adhering to the standard local review process at the city level, advocating for transparency and public engagement in the development.
