Shawano county board considers 12-month data center moratorium

The Shawano County Board of Supervisors in Wisconsin is set to vote on Wednesday on a proposed ordinance that would establish a 12-month moratorium on data center plans or proposals for unused county land.

The ordinance was put forward by the county planning committee and, if passed, would provide a year-long period for county officials to study the potential impacts of data center development within the area.
