Two small-scale data center projects to be considered in Nodaway County
Two small-scale data center projects are currently in the preliminary evaluation stage for potential locations in Nodaway County, Missouri. Josh McKim, Executive Director of the Nodaway County Economic Development (NCED), announced on July 29th that at least two small-scale data center projects are being considered for potential locations within Nodaway County, Missouri. These proposals are currently in the preliminary evaluation stage, limiting the amount of information publicly available.
NCED has held initial conversations with representatives for both projects, meeting with one company and receiving a questionnaire from the other. The organization's objective is to thoroughly understand each proposal, communicate potential community concerns, and ensure a balance between business interests and the public interest.
McKim emphasized that while NCED supports economic growth, not all proposed developments will be automatically accepted. The organization decided to share this preliminary information early to keep the public as informed as possible, acknowledging that the projects may or may not materialize.
