Google has officially announced plans to establish a data center in Columbia County, Georgia, located within the White Oak Technology Park between Appling and Harlem. This significant development was jointly revealed by the Columbia County Board of Commissioners and the Economic Development Authority. Officials characterized it as a major investment promising new construction and technology jobs, with Google pledging local hiring and the creation of a talent pipeline involving local schools, technical colleges, and Fort Gordon.
