Data centers, rapidly proliferating across the United States, are sparking environmental concerns among agricultural experts, particularly regarding their potential impact on bee colonies. Research suggests that the electromagnetic fields (EMFs) generated by data center infrastructure, such as power lines and transformers, could disrupt honeybees' natural navigation abilities, which rely on the sun and their internal magnetic compass. This disruption may lead to cellular stress, reduced pollination efficiency, and altered behavior, ultimately harming the hives.
