Union County sent PNK Group a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the developer halt work at a proposed electrical substation in the Great Stream Commons industrial park. The substation is associated with PNK’s planned data center campus in Gregg Township.

Union County Board of Commissioners Chair Preston Boop said the county believes PNK lacked the approvals needed to begin construction. The matter is now being handled through communication between the county and PNK’s attorneys, while local residents including John Kulka, Kay McCarty and Sue Wajda voiced criticism of the data center proposal at a commissioners meeting.
