U.S. District Judge Eli Richardson dismissed claims brought by data center developer DC BLOX against Metro Nashville. The company alleges that the city improperly targeted its planned facility on property adjacent to the Nashville Zoo through new zoning regulations and a moratorium on approvals for new data centers.

Richardson said DC BLOX's belief that it was treated unfairly did not establish a federal lawsuit, while Metro Legal Director Tyler Yarbro said the city acted lawfully. Metro Councilmember Courtney Johnston also defended the city's authority to determine land uses. DC BLOX has 21 days to amend some of its dismissed claims, and other potential legal and condemnation proceedings remain unresolved.
