Charlotte To Host Six Public Meetings on Data Centers Moratorium in September

Charlotte is set to host six public meetings throughout September to engage residents on the impacts of data centers and discuss a potential moratorium. These sessions, both in-person and virtual via Zoom, will allow citizens to provide feedback and ask questions of city leaders and experts.
The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Hornets Nest Park, followed by other in-person gatherings on Sept. 10, 15, and 26 at various locations including One Water Facility and University City United Methodist Church. Two virtual sessions are also planned for Friday, Sept. 25, and Tuesday, Sept. 29.
